Around the Fire Pit - Relax, Have Fun, and Create Memories with Family and Friends

It's 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. The computer network was down four different times. The printer jammed while printing 500 pages for today's meeting. A key client called to tell you they are going to shop for more competitive prices. You're ready to scream and get away. Sitting around the fire pit while camping last summer was a great get-away, but you can't afford camping this week-end. Or can you?

Imagine how nice it would be to have a fire pit in your own backyard. You could go home from a stressful week at work, start a nice campfire, sit back and just be mesmerized by it. Your special someone puts the cooking accessories on the fire ring and prepares your favorite meal over the campfire.

As you finish your meal, the sun begins to set, the air is a little cooler, and you love the warmth of the campfire. It is then that you decide it would be fun to invite a few family and friends to enjoy the beauty and relaxation of sitting around this fire pit. Quickly you make some phone calls. Then you get some marshmallows, chocolate candy bars, and graham crackers, for everyone to enjoy roasting marshmallows and eating Smores around that perfect campfire you built in that gorgeous fire pit which bears the logo of your Alma Mater.

By now family and friends have come to gather around the campfire. Someone begins telling their favorite campfire story. Others share their memories of things they used to do around the campfire. Then someone decides to sing some of the old favorite campfire songs. Suddenly someone recognizes your College logo imprinted on the fire pit. Let the college stories begin!

While telling these college stories, your kids surprise you by coming home for the week-end. They've just driven four hours and they are starved. They put on the grill accessory, grill some hamburgers, and join you and the others around the campfire. In an attempt to get to know everyone a little better, your kids start asking questions such as:
o Why did you choose the college you attended?
o What one thing would you like to accomplish in life?
o Where is your favorite place to vacation?
o What was your most memorable time around a campfire?
Ah! The joys of question-time with family and friends around the campfire!

Although all of this sounds relaxing and memorable, there could be one major problem; you don't have a backyard! Good news! That doesn't matter. You can enjoy this hallowed time even on your patio. Many fire pits are designed to sit in your backyard or on the patio. So, go ahead; relax and create fond memories with family and friends right in your own backyard or patio.
